Is this course for me?

This is a highly practical programme to develop the skills and knowledge of people working in a range of Human Resources /personnel roles. We welcome people who are aspiring to, or embarking on a career in Human Resources /personnel, are working in the field of Human Resources in a support role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills or have responsibility for Human Resources activities within an organisation without a specialist function.

What will I study?

The course covers a broad range of topics including: Developing Yourself as an Effective Human Resource practitioner; Understanding Organisations and the Role of Human Resources; Recording, Analysing and Using Human Resource Information; Resourcing Talent; Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employment Relations; Delivering Learning & Development Activities.

How long is the course?

This course is a full day a week between January and June

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by work based assignments and work based project to meet the required learning outcomes. This will be supplemented with class room based activities.

What qualifications do I need?

There are no formal entry requirements. The course manager will be pleased to discuss with individuals the suitability of this programme for their development.

What can I progress onto?

Progression through the CIPDs professional standards leading eventually to Chartered membership of CIPD.
