Is this course for me?

Our courses are designed for students who are passionate about music and interested in developing the practical and technical skills needed to work in this exciting industry. You will learn in the very best facilities, in a dedicated centre that is vibrant and energetic. You will explore a wide range of music genres and work with a professional team of tutors who bring a wealth of industry experience. We will also provide you with a valuable insight into how the music industry works and relevant career opportunities that are available within the sector.

What will I study?

You will work on developing a range of skills including rehearsal techniques for musicians and how to produce professional standard musical recordings. You will also be involved in planning, and creating live musical performances. Most of the work is practical, but some assignments include written elements and you will be required to reflect on your performance throughout the course.

How long is the course?

Full time for one academic year

How will I be assessed?

Continual internal assessment of assignments, performances and a major project.

What qualifications do I need?

A minimum of 5 GCSE subjects graded 9-3 including maths or English. You will need to successfully complete an audition before enrolment.

What can I progress onto?

On completion you may progress onto the Music Level 3 Extended Diploma, specialising in either Music Practice or Audio Production.

Other Information
