Student Achievements
Each year, thousands of students achieve a qualification or complete a course at Wigan & Leigh College. This provides them with the opportunity to progress on to University, an apprenticeship or gain employment.
We are proud of all students, many of whom come back into College to share their experiences with our tutors and current students.
Adam is a Degree Apprentice (Nuclear Technician), and works with International Nuclear Services.
Level 3 Adult Care Worker Apprentice, Rebecca feels doing her apprenticeship at My Life charity in Standish provides a great learning curve and an ideal preparation for work.
Dan who is thriving in his apprenticeship at Severfield Plc and wants to grow and progress in the company.
Abbey is blazing a trail for females in engineering. She is currently studying for her BEng (Hons) Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Top-up) while working as a Senior Test Engineer at MBDA Missiles Systems.
Chelsey is a Level 2 AAT Apprentice and works with ISM Construction Ltd.
Ian was working in the Royal Engineers in the Army Reserves while completing his Level 2 Site Carpentry apprenticeship as he wanted to use his skills to become a self employed tradesman.
Hollie is doing her Level 4 ITC apprenticeship at Ulitigroup in Chorley. She is in a varied role working on software installation and service desk support providing help to staff and customers.
Daniel is currently an apprentice for a local company called Parkins Design and Built Ltd.
