Learning Resource Centres
Facilities Built Around Your Needs
Independent study is a vital part of college life, and we’re proud to offer dedicated facilities and resources to support your academic journey.
Our Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) are designed to enhance your studies by providing access to a wealth of information through both physical and digital resources. With the help of our dedicated and experienced staff, you’ll have everything you need to achieve your goals.
Our centres offer a variety of services to assist you with your college studies, including core textbooks, subject periodicals, fiction, wellbeing, and LGBT+ materials, as well as a range of electronic resources. Our friendly staff can help you find the information you need, and we also provide IT support, including access to Office 365, MS Teams, printing, and scanning.
Our LibGuides platform is available 24/7, offering eBooks, online academic publications, subject guides, and other online resources. You can search for books and eBooks via our Library Catalogue where you can also renew and reserve books and view your borrowing history. Simply log in using your network username and password via the homepage of our library catalogue.
We offer various study spaces to meet your needs, including group work areas, individual study rooms, as well as quiet and silent spaces. Each centre is equipped with laptops, computers, and iMacs, and you can also purchase stationery and top up your printing account.
While you develop your independent study and IT skills, our LRC team is always ready to assist you with borrowing and using our resources. Additionally, we provide a variety of study skills sessions, such as those on Harvard referencing, critical thinking, and searching academic databases.
