Pastoral Support

We provide a wealth of opportunities for participating in enrichment activities. From sports events, charity-raising initiatives and fun days to the chance to participate in awareness-raising events on a wide range of subjects like health topics & the latest headline issues.

Students benefit from opportunities to go on curriculum-relevant trips & visits, and in many areas enter high-profile local and national competitions. Raising awareness of these opportunities is a key feature of the pastoral plan with half-termly assemblies at each building hosted by the Heads of Studies.

Personal Tutors

Your personal tutor will be your mentor and guide throughout your time at college. Every full-time student is allocated a Personal Tutor, and they’ll be your first point of call in all matters concerning your personal, social and academic welfare.

With tailored support, you can receive targeted assistance in areas of need. As a student, nothing is too trivial for your tutor to deal with and you should never hesitate to seek your Personal Tutor’s help.

You will have a timetabled tutorial session at least once a week, and attendance at these is compulsory.

These sessions will consist of a mixture of group activities covering our four key employability themes and one-to-one sessions to monitor your progress and complete your Individual Learning Plan.
