Technical Teaching Facilities

Enhance your learning in the Best Tech Facilities

Leigh Campus expansion of Animal Management

This new centre includes a scenario-based learning environment with industry-standard equipment that will be used to develop the skills needed in a variety of roles.

This includes animal boarding, veterinary care, animal pet shop, and an aquatics centre.

The facility also includes multi-model spaces where practical and theoretical aspects of the T Level course can be delivered holistically. .

Virtual Reality Space, the Cave (Cave Automative Virtual Environment)

This shared immersive space goes beyond a virtual reality headset, allowing groups of learners to be immersed in a scene, or view 360 degree content together, using wall and floor projection.

You can become immersed in authentic workplace environments, such as a busy hospital ward. In addition, Health & Social Care learners could explore immersive and interactive 3D models of human anatomy.

Using 3D and motion tracking technology, the CAVE allows learners to move around a 3D landscape or model. Computing or Engineering students may bring their own projects to life, experiencing their newly developed content, with wall and floor projection to fully immerse themselves in their own production.

Esports

Our esports room has been up and running and our students are benefitting from their custom-built facilities.

Our Digital Skills Academy provides several gaming platforms used in popular esports competitions and houses a dedicated facility for gaming, video production and game design.
